The Strategic Account Manager creates, maintains and expands relationships with strategically important clients.
The role has two components:
Account development: Assigned to a number named customers, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.
New account acquisition: Using the opportunities created by inbound marketing efforts and networking at ATD and other conferences, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for acquisition of new accounts as defined by the company's sales plan and sales management.
The Strategic Account Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
